Through his paintings, Zhenya Dolzikov aims to capture those strange, abstract thoughts that may fly by when people get bored of reality and let their minds simply wander. Instead of allowing these thoughts to die as doodles in the margins, he places them on a pedestal and tries to add meaning wherever possible until they can be used to tell a story. Zhenya hopes that audiences see his work as a window to a unique, alien reality that is shockingly absurd yet full of substance.

Based in Toronto, Zhenya Dolzikov is a videographer/visual artist whose Lowbrow-style paintings offer a view into bizarre fairy tale worlds. Fascinated by the unknown, Zhenya channels this childlike curiosity into everything he does to create unique visuals.
